I brought shitty CVS pencils last time. The problem with cheap pencils is (1) the eraser tends to be shit and (2) the graphite is of inferior quality and breaks more often so you can find yourself with the point (? is that how you say that ? ESL problems) coming out if you are unlucky. So I'm paying the extra $3 this time. And yeah take note, no mechanical pencils or erasers.

Apart from reasons provided by their intrinsic quality, bringing a stack of black ticonderoga's is mostly a way of signalling to the other test takers in the room that you mean business.

We would've failed as an LSAT community if this went unmentioned

You are allowed to bring erasers, but they can't be inside a sleeve. I'm bringing one of those pink erasers.

You should have come to this thread to spread your wisdom earlier; I already got a pack of tico's now. In all fairness that's the best that the staples by my house had to offer anyway so I don't think I'd have done anything different. But still. Maybe there are others who haven't done their pre-test shopping yet who can put this suggestion to use.
