Just went -4 on RC from PT34, with extra time. I think the reading comp gains are here to stay. Last 5 RC sections: -6,-5, -5, -4, and -4.

Wish I was closer to finishing it, I'd mail it to you. I got it free somewhere a while ago (maybe campus event?) and just never read it. It's pretty dry and boring, which makes it perfect for this IMO. Although I must admit, I'm interested in how the thing plays out now.

Let me know if it helps, or if you find another book that helps. I'll need another one after I finish this.

I've been meaning to read Liar's Poker since before I even thought about going to law school. Looks like that will be next on the list.

If you guys really want to read some dry stuff, I have some great recommendations, since that is my specialty (I was headed for academia before making the jump to Law School): Democracy and Its Critics. A nice big dry book that concerns itself with argumentation and logic revolving around what is the best form of government and how to achieve it. Dahl, the author, setups up Socratic dialogues where he makes arguments on behalf of one side and then constructs counter-arguments and counter-counter-arguments.

Timing is obviously still an issue for me- basic linear/balanced should be some of the easiest and quickest. Going at 7:30 or over really isn't where I want to be, but I guess I still have time. All my errors I later went through and saw my mistakes, which were often quite careless.

Anyone else balancing LSAT studying with a full class schedule, part time work (10 hr/week), and on campus student involvement?! I feel like I'm the only person who can't devote 24/7 to my studies for this specific exam.

I work full time, if that counts. I can't imagine I would be able to devote any more time than I do, without causing burnout, even if I didn't work full time.

Amen... I work full time with an hour commute each way... X.X

Same exact time, plus about 1:15 commute. Luckily, I tend to come in about 10mins late and leave about 10 early and add an extra 10-15 to my lunchhour... my job is pretty lenient so long as I do my tasks (small immigration law firm). Study is typically 630-9:30.

Hi all! Just checking in...

Today I finished up my Round 2 of Simple Ordering games from PT1-38, it was meh. I finished under time in all Difficulty 3 games, except the last game (Difficulty 4), when it took me 12:15 but I got -0. Also, my accuracy has definitely improved, as I mostly go -0 with an occasional -1 or -2, but since I'm still not getting -0 in all games I'm going to continue to go through MLSAT LG and revisit these all soon.

Congrats! I really want to move past LG, but won't do so until I'm though MLSAT/going -0 on almost all (if not all) games...LR is a definite weakness of mine so I'm really anxious to tackle it

Noted. I'm going to take the night off, but tomorrow, I'll hit these games and that RC passage. Oh and tomorrow is PT 39. I'm really hoping it gives me some trouble (it's better to face trouble now, and learn from it, than in June, and learn from it while joining the October thread).

Speaking of which, I think we should mix up the PT schedule. The games in the 60s feel markedly different, and I was thoroughly unprepared for the Zones game when I wrote the October 2012 LSAT. Not seeing the most recent, hypo-intensive games (consensus is the 50s and 60s) until April seems dangerous.

Maybe split up the 40s, 50s and 60s so that it falls more like 50, 68, 40, 51, 67, 41, 52, 66, 42, etc. That way we have a few months to study/drill/repeat the difficult games encountered on the absolute most recent tests.

It seems reckless to use all of the 60s — our most valuable resources — as mere diagnostics less than a month prior to the June test. These are the tests that deserve the most attention.

Yeah I think mixing it up as suggested above would be more beneficial. Agreed that more time should be given to the more recent tests -- I'm down to make that adjustment to our sched
