All LoRs follow the same basic principle i presume. X is so great, X was a great learn, etc.

Yeah, I've got 2, 1 pending and is could be 5 if a certain few bite. I don't intend to keep them all but I'll choose the best and send them out (hell I might just send 4).

I'm a little worried about LORs since I graduated in 2014, was always a pretty introverted student, and wasn't the best student. I have a couple professors in mind, and I'd like to think they'd be willing to do me a favor, but if I somehow strike out with them, idk what my plan of action will be.

Go in person if you can; it shows initiative but be sure to come in hat in hand and recognize the possibility of them not remembering you. Also, refresh your memory on their class.

(Don't quote, gonna remove soon) Y'all... Y'all... I just got an email (in my personal inbox) from a T20 adcomm inviting me to a dinner for prospective students. Then she fucking says this is "based partly on your posts on http://www.top-law-schools.com, which we've enjoyed reading" and mentions the usernames of basically everyone ITT asking if I had your contact info. Added a note saying they're experimenting with using TLS and other "non-traditional methods" as "outreach" for next cycle. Wtf.....

Does anyone know when September registration opens up? I saw the thread on most test centers being booked, and it worried me a bit..

I tried googling it online ("when does September LSAT registration open") and I didn't come up with anything other than the actual dates :/

I also think TLS gives overly optimistic odds for people sometimes.

And yeah, aren't you glad you don't have a sub 2.5 gpa.
I also think TLS gives overly optimistic odds for people sometimes.

The LSAT grandmaster had a 2.9 and pulled uva before the Great Applicant Crash. I don't like the was LS's calculate GPA. IIRC, med schools and some grad programs take all sub 4000 level classes into consideration. If it were the case for LS, I'd be at my CC until I had a 3.7/180.

I'm in the same boat. I was an engineering student so I definitely spent a decent amount of time with my professors in lab settings which were more casual than formal lectures; I'm hoping that helped to create a better relationship with them. When I get around to going to visit them to ask for a LOR I'll just be praying to sweet baby jesus that they will entertain me enough to play ball and write me a good one. I have a lower GPA (depending on your standards) as well so it's not like I was the epitome of an awesome student, but I'm hopeful nonetheless. As they said before me, go in person. That's your best shot at getting a positive outcome.
