Re: June 2014 Retakers
I only do hypos when I can see a key component of the game (something involving multiple variables, like a block) that can only go in one of two (maybe three) places. Otherwise I'll just get my main diagram/deductions/etc and work the questions as they come. Remember, doing all the possibilities of a game upfront is a double-edged sword: if you're supposed to do it and you don't the game is really hard whereas if it's not the right technique then it is a HUGE waste of time and can really hurt you.dasani13 wrote:I went -3 in LG on 54 because of game 2. I tried making hypos for it and when I saw that they turned into like 7 different ones, I freaked out and thought I had made a mistake or that I was missing an inference (so I skipped it and moved on, wasting like 4 mins). I just redid the game and realized that we're able to answer the questions without hypos with no problem. I guess I should just continue without hypos/inferences when I don't see any from now on. Especially since the other 3 games could have been done in under 8 mins each.

PT 63 today
LR: -2 combined
LG: -0
RC: -0
Raw 99
Scaled 179
This was a test I took in Sept-ish, so definitely not fresh, and I think that boosted me a couple points. I was very very happy to go -0 on RC even though it seemed I was really struggling.
Time to review this one. Hoping to keep the ball rolling as we near June. How is everyone else doing today?

If it was taken that long time ago, it probably is equal to a fresh one. Great score!jk148706 wrote:PT 63 today

Awesome! No studying for me today. Well, maybe I'll feel like drilling some RC later today. Who knows? NBA playoffs take precedence.jk148706 wrote:PT 63 today

time: about 2.5 months this time and I studied a little over a month 3 years agocharlesriver wrote:Survey: How long have you been studying LSAT?
what is your current score? score on fresh tests? score on used tests?
current score: averaging 177 across 10 tests + every test is new to me. when I studied years ago the mistake I made was only studying old tests.

Still hitting -1/-2 on RC
LR -0
LG -0
Wish I had a fresh test to take, but a lot of the RC is still new so that's what I'm working on. Anybody doing anything special on the RC to get to that -0 mark?

Hey guys, I won't be able to come back to the room because there's no where to charge my computer here. Apparently it's finals week at this undergrad and the library is completely full. Hope tonight's session ends well!

Re: June 2014 Retakers
Slowly getting back into it...
I've done 4 LGs from Cambridge packets of easier difficulty, and it's the first LSAT stuff I've done since December. -0 with 14 mins on the first, then 8 mins on the 2nd, then 7 mins on the 3rd and 6 mins on the 4th. It's refreshing to do them, unlike when it felt like a chore when I was retaking in December.
I got to PT today to get a baseline of where I'm at. Can't procrastinate or else I'm going to be forced into a Sept test.
