I think my biggest worry with all of this is how inconsistently I score…I don't know of any prep company that improves your consistency…that's just my own shortcoming. What the heck do I do about that? Choose a diff path?

167. Technically have one more take but it would be my 4th and part of me just can't. -6 on my last LR. Pretty bummed and trying to figure out what the most strategic ED option would be (3.6x gpa ugh).

Well I will be retaking. 166 on my first attempt. Started at a 153 when I first started prepping at the end of March so hopefully can get above a 170 on the October test. Congrats to all who hit their goals and good luck to those who will be retaking with me.

Retook a 169 and improved to a 176. That was my PT peak and I couldnt be more happy with it, but I was very surprised. The test felt worse than most of the practices I had taken. I didn't know where my score was going to land tbh.

LG: -1
RC: -1
LR: -3

I was going to go to Texas this fall (from Texas, lots of texas connections), but I'm not sure if this changes things for me. They didn't give me very much money, so I'll see if they change their offer after this. If they don't, I may have to reapply. My GPA is pretty shitty (3.1) but I'm a STEM major from a high ranked school.

If anyone has any advice or sage knowledge on what they think I should do, I'd really appreciate it.
Hope everyone is a few deep after this afternoon

I've asked two different deans in the TLS forums and both have said that the October test is still considered early, as long as you submit your application then as well. They implied that anything by thanksgiving is good. And that they don't start reading applications until the end of October at the earliest.

I thought schools had rolling admissions so if you apply immediately you get scores really soon?
They do have rolling admissions but the earliest they send out decisions is mid December, which would mean you would have to have been one of the first applicants. (So basically you submitted right after the app was available.) That is from what I understand. But I've heard that most people submit in the late December - February range, so thanksgiving is still considered early/on time.

Were the section orders the same for everyone? If not, what was the order for people who had the LG experimental as their first section?

No they weren't the same for everyone. I had LG(exp)-LR-LG-RC-LR

Studied intensely. Began with a Kaplan class, used Manhatten Prep study guide books for RC and LR, got a tutor from Blueprint. Diagnostic test 159. Took about 30 preptests before June. My range tended to be around 167-172. Highest score ever was a 174.
LR: -4, -4
LG: -1
RC: -3

Ended up with a 169. A bit upset. Coming with a 3.6 from an ivy-equivalent. Sigh. Guess I'm taking it in October. Hope everyone else got the scores they were looking for.

So officially:

LR1: -1
RC: -3
LR2: -3 <----- this killed me, had I fixed it I would have been at a 177.
LG: -0

Overall, -7 for a 173. Pretty upset as I was PTing in the 178 range before the test, but I also admit I kind of panicked, especially on those two sections I miffed.

Time to start restudying.

Anyone have any experience working with spivey or another consultant? Life is pretty busy for me and I'm wondering what the value in someone like them might be.

EDIT: just saw he posted above me lol

Thanks. I ended up with a 167, which I should be happy with, but I know I can do better. Ordered a retake for October and will do some practice tests and finish the bibles before then.

LR1 -2
LG -5(yikes)
RC -3
LR2 -4

I'm a URM with a 3.4 cum GPA (but a 3.72 at my current institution after transferring) so I'm hoping I'll still be able to scrape into NYU. I guess I'm going to have to give up Columbia and Harvard though unless October comes through for me.

So the "trick" LG game officially did NOT help the curve at all. This was a fairly mean curve, one of the worst I have seen in recent memory. The two question 180 buffer was nice, but after that it skipped two scores in the 170s and did not give us an extra piece of breathing room until 169.
