Damn that's tough. Hard to focus and improve on something when its just an out of the blue passage like that. I saw a lot of people talking about that passage after the test.TheWalkingDebt wrote:I got the entire last passage wrong.placeholder wrote:was it because of one passage?TheWalkingDebt wrote:LR1: -4

SERIOUSLY. THIS HURTS SO MUCH. RC WAS MY STRONGEST/MOST CONSISTENT SECTION ON PTs

Makes sense. I just have a hundred people telling me I could never get into a t6 so I think I've mentally crossed them out. Just got my score in California, though I took the test in Michigan. Got a 171. I am shooting for $$$ at Berkeley, or H or S. DO I RETAKE OR NOT? GPA is close to 4.0.

No one whose score was released so far got below 165. So I guess the score gets released in batches based on score range..... next batch is probably 150-164, then 135-149, and 120-134.
My score is not released yet.
So I guess better luck in October.

Re: The Official June 2015 Waiter's Thread
If you can bring that score up into the 170s you have a very good shot at all of the t6, including HYS. If you're dead set on Georgetown, I'd still retake for scholarship money though. I would do terrible, disgusting things for your GPA :pplshelpme wrote:Makes sense. I just have a hundred people telling me I could never get into a t6 so I think I've mentally crossed them out. That's not how it works. Two reasons no one has posted sub 165. TLS self selects for high scorers and most who didn't score highly bowed out without commenting.CPAlawHopefu wrote:No one whose score was released so far got below 165. The highest I've made on PT was a 174. Only other things I have going for me is that I'm triple majoring at a good university, and I have a few years of full-time work experience as a senior marketing associate. I'll probably retake, just worried I wont improve and then I'll just hate myselfJoscellin wrote:If you can bring that score up into the 170s you have a very good shot at all of the t6, including HYS. Retake can't hurt. Hit that 174 on the real thing and you can take your pick of anywhere, likely including full rides in the lower 14.

172. Pretty much right at my PT. Was hoping to do better, but I'm really happy with my score. Look forward to seeing everyone in the school threads. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Re: The Official June 2015 Waiter's Thread
I enjoyed the Testmasters course I took, but to me that comes down to what you expect to get out of it. Did you really *get* everything they were teaching? If not, I'd look more into a private tutor if you want to pay more for help.GreekOmega12 wrote:Bump. Please anyone?GreekOmega12 wrote:Need some advice you all. Definitely retaking in October. Otherwise, self study and drilling hard can be really helpful. What sections did you miss most of yours on?
