(except I missed 1 on LG)

I started with a diagnostic of 143 and I got a 165 on the real thing. I know you can rock it! Good luck.GentlemanJim wrote:Diagnostic was 151. Ouch.
Been studying intensely the past couple months and have been scoring in the 165-175 range. In fact, I recently had a streak of 6 170s practice tests. It can be done.
Took the LSAT on Saturday. Feel good about it. Wish me luck!
What did you do to make that jump?femme wrote:I started with a diagnostic of 143 and I got a 165 on the real thing. I know you can rock it! Good luck.GentlemanJim wrote:Diagnostic was 151. Ouch.

I took a lot of timed practice test, read the PS Bibles, and review my old test to find my mistakes and I learned from them. You just have to put in the work and study smart.honestabe84 wrote:What did you do to make that jump?femme wrote:I started with a diagnostic of 143 and I got a 165 on the real thing. I'm a 168 average who just wants a 170 on test day. My last six tests are 169, 168, 168, 167, 172, 170. Who knows what will happen on test day.Sinra wrote:Figured I'd revive this thread for us October takers.
I'm hitting my head against the wall as I'm stuck in the 167-169 range. I randomly got a 175 on PT 50 with -0 on the RC which was exciting.
I am a retaker from last year. Took Sept- canceled due to nerves, took December, bombed it something huge since I was sick and too dumb to think it would affect me adversely.
I've taken 10 PTs and have 9 left. I've done Pithypike method and am now killing games ranging usually -0 to -1 on every PT. However, LR is making me insane! I get -1 or -2 wrong on the first one and almost always mess up the second one badly...-5 to -6 each time. Looking over the answers I see how I missed that one word that made the difference.
What are y'all doing? Anyone else just STUCK in the high 160s with dreams of 170s? I'm jealous of all the journals here with 175-180s consistently!

What have you been doing to prep lately? Ive been around the mid 160s and seem to be hitting a wall.jr1886 wrote:I've been working on this LSAT trying to get a 170 for the past 4 months. Today, I get my first 170 in PT44. So happy!
My last 5PTs have been:164, 167,163, 168, 170
It's making me crazy that I can't string together 2 170s. So far I've gotten a 172 on PT 45 and 175 on PT 50.whymeohgodno wrote:Can I join? I usually hit somewhere in the high 160's but I've hit 170 or above maybe around 5 times.

Yes, I often seem to miss the LR questions i've seen before. I just don't seem to approach them the same way and too often try to remember what it was.Sinra wrote:
Do any of you feel that over-exposure to the questions actually makes you do slightly worse? I've noticed that tests I've seen before (like some in the 50s from last year and 1-38 from prep) I recall some of the questions and it throws me off. Did 170+ on two tests I'd never done/seen any question from before. I'm actually looking forward to the actual thing so that I get fresh material.
I took Sept 09 as well (168). Re-took June 2010, got pneumonia and decided to cancel but probably only because I could not scar my Sept score. Haven't been studying intensely this time (personal issues taking up time/mental energy). I'll take a 5 section PT this week and see how it goes but my last PTs were 174 and 172 and 170 then waited like 3 weeks and took one over multiple days and got a 163...Sinra wrote: I'm hitting my head against the wall as I'm stuck in the 167-169 range.
