Nothing like a good 'ole plank for a good core workout. Wall sits too.

Smith machines force your body into an unnatural movement. It doesn't allow you to move back as well as down. It may have it's place for a select group, but I'd say that it is, for the majority of people, a bad piece of equipment. Also, I'm referring to it being used for a squat, not other exercises.gamerish wrote:Smith machines definitely have their place. They're certainly not the tool of choice for seasoned lifters but they're great for people with injuries, chronic pain, and people new to lifting to get them acquainted with proper form without having to worry about the bar. They're also good for calf raises.

Re: FEBRUARY 2015 WAITERS' CIRCUS
I totally watched everything as a kid no matter how bad. I watched Ghost Writer and I used to really like it. But at like 4 in the morning on the weekend when I was in elementary and middle school I'd be watching things like Hair Bears, Jabberjaw, and a bunch of other old cartoons. I watched a lot of things that were more like my parents generation shows or my peers parent's generation shows - since most people's parents tend to be like 5 to 10 years younger than mine. Since that would be the only thing on late at night - or really bad horror movies - I'd just watch old TV instead of doing something else.justabitunusual wrote:I remember wishbone too, but you might have been too young for Ghost Writer?...it was ab some tween/teen kids that got messages from a "ghost" writer through a typewriter I think? idk but i liked itpeppermint wrote: Haven't seen that one but I do remember a mystery show called Wishbone? It had a dog that was a detective or something like that. I used to watch it all the time
There used to be some weird old retro cartoons on late at night. Then I'd also watch things like Green Acres, Threes Company, Dennis the Menace, etc...
For fun I'd either hang with my sis, watch TV, or read when I was a kid - now I'm a computer addict instead!

Re: FEBRUARY 2015 WAITERS' CIRCUS
Missed the childhood TV talk, but had to bring it back up to say I love Smallville. I'm gonna be binge watching TV until scores come back and re-watching Smallville is at the top of the list. The only thing I hate about the show was when we found out Chloe was meteor infected, but they never explored it any further. I also prefered Clark and Lana, but Lois grew on me.peppermint wrote:I always felt bad for Chloe & her unrequited love for Clark. I was so happy when she finally had her happily ever after with the Green ArrowMEAhrnsbrak wrote:I loooved Smallville!! I need to re watch it and watch the last two seasons that I never saw. I was always a fan of Clark and Lana..stupid Led Luther!justabitunusual wrote:Moving on from Fresh Prince, BMW, and Clarissa Explains it all...did anyone get into Charmed? Or Smallville?

Re: FEBRUARY 2015 WAITERS' CIRCUS
I thought the exam was the easiest ever...
I walked towards the testing center, and they made last minute change to the room assignments. One of the proctors said it was going to be inside their van. The instructors said I needed to smell a washcloth and tell them if it smelled like Chloroform or not. The rest of the test was a breeze. In fact, it went by so fast, I don't remember much except sitting on the bench outside the testing center waiting to go home.
I think it was all the prep studying I did that made it seem so easy
However, we did make a late night run for take out after reading all these posts about food all night...

ETA: since you've never been in a waiters thread, 90% of the OP/polls/conversation is the the same. Originality doesn't pay honey.

Apparently it went TV show/fitness wild. I don't even think I'm gonna try to keep up if it starts to ever move at the pace of September or even June thoughJackelJ wrote: wtf happened ITT after I went to sleep? lol
