Re: December 2012 Re-takers
I got a Wake Forest fee waiver. Nothing else.
That should serve as a signal of the unconstrained contempt with which the law school community at large views my qualifications.
Well "Fuck you." Woodrow Wilson couldn't read until he was 14 because he was dyslexic and went on to be President of Princeton and redefine foreign policy for the modern world. We are not Japan, nor should we aspire to be a meritocracy that uses academic achievement during the volatile, transitional phase from adolescence into adulthood as the only criterion for consideration for admission to a top university. I failed, like many others before me have and like many others after me have. To not send me fee waivers is tacit admisison that because of that failure, years ago, I am not to be encouraged to pursue academic study. No matter how intelligent, able, determined or passionate I am -- not handing in that assignment on the sufferings of a Chinese mother during the Kuomintang Era of the 1920s will haunt me forever. It's like being stigmatized in that I am being negatively affected by something I have no control over; I did once but not anymore. It really is infuriating because I'm going to be a very good lawyer. And I will rhetorically tear every lawyer I encounter apart just to prove that going to an ivory tower is neither sufficient nor necessary to succeed.

Good... Good...
But seriously all you can do at this point is study and keep making improvements.

Does my skin color preclude me from being Mace Windu?

Perhaps Gabe is Magneto and needs to find true focus somewhere between rage and serenity.mrizza wrote:You might be more of a Luke than an Anakin. Re: December 2012 Re-takers
168 today on 65, I know I can do better, but I would still be very happy with this score. The -8 on RC really killed me, which is disappointing because I thought I was improving. I'll review it today, take tomorrow mostly off, and kill it Saturday. Good luck to everyone writing in December!

That movie was so weird. The magneto/professor x actors and story were amazing(especially the scene you're talking about), but the rest of the movie/actors was one of the worst pieces of crap ever made.chadbrochill wrote:Perhaps Gabe is Magneto and needs to find true focus somewhere between rage and serenity.mrizza wrote:You might be more of a Luke than an Anakin. Re: December 2012 Re-takers
PT 16 today.
87 questions correct for a 170.
-6 in LG, -2 in RC and -6 combined in LR.
-14 curve was kind to me.
Still really need to lock down this LG section. Back to drilling. <3

Yeah I think slowing down and summarizing as you go really works, at least for me. I rarely have to re-read anything and I'm finishing the RC sections faster than when I was speed-reading!
