Heyo! First post and thought I'd check in here.

I'm probably crazy but the goal is to go through as many(if not all) pt's as possible. Finished pt 4 today. Kinda weird to think the test was administered before I was born. Although you can tell from the "new" science in lr/cr sections.

So I made my prepschedule yesterday.. I'll be PTing around mid-January.

In other news, I did my second 7sage lesson tonight, I just have to finish a few quizzes. I'm skipping the June 2007 test and the blind review lesson, since 1) I already took June 2007 when I thought I was prepping for December and used it as my diagnostic (might use it for experimentals later on) and 2) I think I'll check out the BR lesson right before I start taking PTs.

How is everyone else's prep going?

Oh and thank you to the guy who posted about doing all the LG drilling, I had completely forgotten to add LG in my prepschedule until I saw your post!

Hey everyone! I’ve been taking my time each day this week and last doing MBT questions, going through the packets and focusing on why each answer is wrong (by virtue of being out of scope or reversal of the conditional etc) and what makes the CR, the CR. I would highly recommend the Cambridge packets by type (the MBT one on their website was like $8-but HIGHLY worth it in my estimation.) I have read and reread the Powerscore LR chapter on formal logic this week several times. I’m still pecking away at logic games each day- Monday-Friday I am doing 7 or 8 games for the day (with review) and Saturdays I am doing 25 games in one sitting. With Sundays off and one Monday per month completely off this puts me at about 297 games for the month. Yesterday I encountered the “Dinosaur” game from PT 57 for the first time, which I didn’t find all that difficult, but it took me 15 minutes-going slow to make sure I understood what exactly the test was asking me to do. I was -1 on the game. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Happy Prepping!

P.S.-I have left a block of PTs untouched in my prep for timed PTs this winter and early Spring. I was thinking that maybe some of us could take them on the same day and review them together, it might be beneficial to get different points of view on different aspects of the test. Let me know what you think. These tests I have left aside are 63-current, a few of the late 40s.

PT once a week (with very intense blind review) until D-Day. Throw in some light drilling during the week if I have time.
I'm still learning TLS terms... what is doing a blind review? :/

The #1thing I have learned from prep so far is to read EVERYTHING on this test carefully. I got burnt today by not diagramming a rule correctly on a logic-game (52-2-1, an easy one I know!) and realized it midway through and had to rush back and try to change my answers. I have learned today once and for all that it is much better to not be careless upfront (and use 15-25 seconds upfront to make sure things are good with your diagram,) than to frantically run back and redo 3 questions with 90 seconds remaining, because I was careless in the beginning. :( On the bright side: this is a great mistake to be making-and consciously fixing in November rather than May. lol
Things I've learned from my prep so far:
1.You cannot at any moment daydream, or allow your brain to wander or get mentally complacent-the test is designed in a way that even the easiest problems have answers that seem attractive when I'm daydreaming even the slightest.
2.Don't underestimate anything-even the easiest games, because sometimes they contain questions will sneak-up on you and your -4 for the section will come from questions you took for granted.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

How many PTs are you doing per week? January seems a little early to go all out on PTs.
I'm planning on 1 a week, then 2, then 3; to ease my brain into the system of PTs. I only did a few of the 40s, 50s, and one in the 60s. So the plan is to get through 39-76.

Hey so if we have specific questions on a problem are we going to post them here...

Or should we post them in the main forum?

Thanks
