How much is the difference between 3.90 and 3.92?
Hi everyone, I am currently a junior preparing for law school. And I am thinking about registering the summer session to boost my gpa from 3.90 to 3.91 or 3.92. I am wondering how much will it help my application?
If I don't take the summer courses, I am planing to work at my father's law firm (which I think will help my PS and interviews) or have an internship in my major (history; language teaching) in Australia the coming summer.
Can anybody give some advice? Thank you very much

Thanks! I think the same. I raise this question because I found some online predictors only display one decimal number.

Unless that bump pushes you over a school's median, work experience is probably more valuable.

Sorry I couldn't resist the urge to be a smartass. I'll try to be helpful now.
What schools are you looking at? A 3.9 will put you above every school's median in the T14, I believe, and a number of the 75th percentiles. Have you taken the LSAT yet? It might be more helpful to study for that if you haven't taken it than bump your GPA up a little bit.

Nothing you've listed in your OP will help your application more than a high LSAT, so you should focus on that.

don't go to law school with these grades, unless you are getting a full ride. seriously. do something and/or anything else (or take a full ride).

A tick above one-half-of-one-percent!blackmamba8 wrote:.02
Because I'm a jerk, I hope you do it, raise your GPA to a 3.92, and then find out your top school specifically mandates GPAs only be reported out to the tenth with conventional rounding rules. Wouldn't that be a bummer?

I don't think it really matters. You already have a stellar gpa. Just focus on the LSAT and you should be good.

I'd get the WE or go to Australia if it were me. Live a little.
