Application components for the T14

Post by xnsch » Fri Jul 22, 2016 3:50 pm

Is there any place where someone has aggregated all the application components for all the T14 schools (including things like supplemental essays/questions for each school or available scholarship applications for each)? That would be super helpful (and save lazy me time from having to look them up individually haha)

I don't see how that would be particularly helpful, since you'd still have to look up information about the specialized scholarships that usually require extra essays.

In general, every school asks for a personal statement (they all have slightly different directions, but it's pretty much a universal thing). And they all offer you the option of including a "Why [insert school]?" statement. Beyond that, the essays specific to scholarship or specialty programs are generally unique enough that you should know about the specific program and its application requirements if you really want to apply. For example, you don't want to dash off an application for an RTK scholarship just because you think you want the money.

I guess it's not that big of a deal, I just thought it would be cool or helpful to put everything in one place to make it easier to see at a glance what application materials to work on. Of course PS/DS/addenda go to every school but it'd be cool to have one place where things like Yale 250/specific prompt essays/scholarship essays are. Maybe I'll make one haha
