Teach For America connection to LS?
Hey guys, I noticed a Teach For America checkbox when researching data at MyLSN. It made me wonder if there's some significance to being a former TFA teacher when applying to law school. Is there some benefit if you were with TFA during the application process for LS?

It's not significant beyond that fact that it's probably considered a decent soft.

Former TFA corps member here. For what it's worth, my cycle played out exactly as it would have if I had been a KJD instead.
It was extremely helpful come OCI time though.

You can score a ton extra fee waivers (I didn't pay for any schools I applied to). But, generally employment doesn't help at all (outside NU and I don't think they would be very impressed with TFA).
I'm not aware of any TFA checkbox on mylsn either.

There is one here under "Other Options". It treats someone as being involved in TFA if they say "TFA" or "teach for america" in their LSN profile. Very, very, very small sample sizes.mornincounselor wrote:You can score a ton extra fee waivers (I didn't pay for any schools I applied to).
