Re: Got into T14, But can my offer be rescinded?
why? because they would realize you are an asshole and made a horrible mistake admitting you for baseline personality issues? If that's the extent of it, then no.

Highly doubt they rescind your acceptance because of this because there's nothing unethical about what you did. It's not going to do much for your reputation at your new school, however. I hope you see how bad of an idea that was. You just never know who knows who and you might get stealth screwed out of something down the road because someone talked to someone else on the QT.

How old are you? What did you think your professor was going to say? "I've been wrong all these years, you were the chosen one!"Blueblades wrote:Hi everybody,
Question: got into a t14, but I also got a little cocky afterwards and sent a snubby email to a research program director at my school who unrightfully turned me away from a great experience simply because he didn't like me as a person. I'd indicated the great school that I had gotten into (via the decision letter attached). If my school sees this email, is it grounds to rescind my acceptance?

I have no idea why the professor might not like OP as a person.
But OP, that's not going to lead a school to rescind your acceptance. For one thing, no one is going to send your e-mail to the school that accepted you, and thinking they might is kinda paranoid. Even if someone did (which they won't), being rude isn't a C&F issue, and your e-mail doesn't change your GPA/LSAT and how they factor into a school's medians.

No, and don't do things like this
FWIW you probably validated this person's opinion of you
It's not "unrightful" to turn someone down for a job because you think people will like working them
