Retaking Smartest Move?

Post by Hercules Mulligan » Thu Oct 22, 2015 11:57 pm

Scores back today, 169. Below ideal range (prep average = 173), but also higher than expected given how badly I felt the test went.

3.98 LSAC gpa, which I don't want to waste. My plan had been to take some time off and retake. Is there a strong argument to apply this cycle instead?

I was in the exact same boat as you in June (literally same numbers hahah) and I just retook and got a 177!! I HIGHLY encourage retaking, I'm in such a better position now. Is there a reason you can't retake in December and still apply this cycle? You would be on the later end of applications but I doubt it would hurt you that much with that GPA and a 170+ lsat.

Everything I know indicated a retake; I just wanted to double-check with people in case there was something I'm missing. Thanks all.
