Study Abroad Question

Post by sottovoce » Wed Sep 09, 2015 11:58 am

Hi TLS,

I have a quick question about whether study abroad classes will count towards my Law School GPA. I am taking four classes, none of which will show up as grades on my transcript (they will all show up at P/F), but the school I am taking the classes at is accredited by a US Institution (UNH). I was wondering if those grades would then count towards my law school GPA.

Best,

They probably will. I studied abroad with a Duke program and those grades showed up on my LSAC transcript despite them being pass/fail at my home institution.

Those grades from your study abroad education may show up on your transcripts if they were taken, regardless if they were pass/fail. It is best to contact your undergraduate university to verify if those grades do appear.

Mine count toward my GPA. This is really a question that needs to be asked to your school's administration because policies vary.
