Hey
UG Senior here
The two questions I have are can law schools see when your recommender submitted the LOR?
and secondly Is it a better idea to get LOR's now rather than when I apply ? If I apply to Law School in 2 years for example and waited until then to get LOR's I may get more vague / generic LOR's because the prof may not remember you as well
I am looking to get some WE prior to LS so that is why I ask
Thanks

My LoRs were between 2 & 3 years old and it did not seem to matter much at all.
What I would suggest doing is getting your academic ones now and then asking an employer to write an additional LoR closer to when you're applying.

Get them done ASAP. It took me 4 months to get one of my LORs and that was the difference between being able to applying in December and applying in March.

+1. I think one of mine took ~5 months. Another took 1.5 months. Another took a few weeks. It won't matter if they're submitted in the beginning of summer or the end of summer for your application, but it will help you because it takes them forever to write and it gives you more time to allow them to do it. It's hard to rush them along when they're taking their time.unsweetened wrote:Get them done ASAP. I found giving them a fair deadline helps.
