Studying The Day Before LSAT? Forum

Hi everyone,

I have been studying like crazy for the last several months for the LSAT, which is Monday. I have work on Sunday, and my intentions were to take off in order to study the day before the actual LSAT. Is this a good idea? Through experience, or research, is it recommended to study the day before the LSAT? Or does it really not matter.

If it's any help, I have noticed that the day after I have work, I perform a bit more poorly on practice tests than usual. It has not happened frequently enough to say there is a 100% correlation, but I do notice that it is my second day off when I see my score get back up to where it was.

+1. or do something fun to take your mind off of the test (that doesn't involve drinking or otherwise impairing your mind)

I took a few days off, and it worked out fine for me. I just read over a cheat sheet that I made, and that was enough.

Do a LG or two, one RC passage, and a few LR questions. Spread it out through the day, all not timed. Relax and get a bunch of sleep, wake up early.

I sort of disagree with most of this in the sense that I don't think you should deviate from your standard routine. Going into the test, you've (hopefully) been PTing pretty consistently. For example, I was taking PTs every Tuesday and Saturday (I'm int'l so my test day was a Tuesday). Wednesday and Sunday were review days of the entire test, and Thursday, Friday, and Monday were for working on weaknesses/taking individual sections where I was having trouble. I really don't think its a good idea to change up your routine the day before the test. It's just another PT, and you shouldn't change anything just bc its the real thing.
