Hey guys, If the LSAT and GPA are the heaviest criteria for admission to LS, is it safe to set aside a minor and EC's? I attend a top 20 university in the nation and it's really difficult. I want to focus solely on my GPA for my junior and senior year and want to avoid a minor or any other clubs and activities that would normally help me stand out. Is this ok? Should I be doing anything extra to help my chances when the time comes to apply for LS?
Ideally, I plan to just nail my major and walk with a 3.8, assuming I can focus on just my major and not have to mess with anything else.

You have the right thinking. If these other things will cause your GPA & LSAT to suffer, then cut them out.

Excellent. I decided to forgo a minor and all other EC's. I'm sticking to just upper division courses applicable to my major, in order to maintain a 3.8+. If LS's don't care about any of that other stuff, why bother?
GPA and LSAT all the way for me.
