I am joining the army after college and after 2 years will be back and am planing on becoming a lawyer or preacher so I was wondering what is a good major so that I can become a lawyer but just in case if that does not work out can still go into being a pastor? and if a go to a public college in New York like Brooklyn college or CUNY will Top 5 law schools care?

I have no idea what majors will help you become a pastor, but law schools don't care what your major is. They also barely care about your UG school. Princeton is a tiny, tiny boost over shity state school u, but many many people go to T14s from a wide variety of undergrads, including CUNYs and SUNYs.

If going to join the Army, you might as well sign up for 3 years and be 100% GI bill eligible. Can make a huge difference in cost because of the Yellow Ribbon Program.

Where you go to UG only makes a difference at the margins, and a tiny one at that.
