UG Transcripts into LSAC
How exactly does the process of sending in transcripts to LSAC work?
More specifically, lets say someone went to two different community colleges and then a University to finish their BA. They would of had to send their community college transcripts to the University. Would they need to send transcripts from all three institutions? Or just from the University? (because they have the information from all institutions already)

every school that you attended needs to send their transcripts. it's a pain but you have to go to all 3 institutions (or use their online/phone processes) to request that your transcript be sent to LSAC.Trev315 wrote:How exactly does the process of sending in transcripts to LSAC work?

Yep. I took classes at a different university during the summer one year and even though those grades were on the my UG degree transcript, I still had to request from the summer university. Kind of a pain, but hopefully your schools made ordering easy.toothbrush wrote:every school that you attended needs to send their transcripts. it's a pain but you have to go to all 3 institutions (or use their online/phone processes) to request that your transcript be sent to LSAC.Trev315 wrote:How exactly does the process of sending in transcripts to LSAC work?

Re: UG Transcripts into LSAC
Fortunately it is pretty easy. The problem is that I had a bad semester right out of high school and received Fs, which are severely hurting my GPA. Since then my GPA is somewhere around 3.6 and should stay around there until I apply this upcoming summer.
So my LSAC GPA is going to be about a 3.0 instead of a 3.6... which is pretty crappy.
Any ideas on getting Fs off my transcript?

the only way to do this is to get the college to retroactively wipe the F's off your transcript altogether. they MIGHT do this if you had a medical reason for the F's, but also maybe not. in all likelihood the F's are there for good. this is an issue a lot of people have, sorry

Let's say I can't get the Fs off. Would a school even consider admitting me if they viewed an addendum and non-LSAC, regular GPA? (which would obviously be a lot better) Obviously I have a huge upward grade trend.
Or would they simply see my numbers and say no?
Suppose I score a 165 on the LSAT.
LSAC GPA: 3.0
Non LSAC: 3.6

An addendum really isn't going to do anything. This is a very common situation for law school applicants, and adcomms know how to spot upward grade trends (which don't really matter). Schools are only going to focus on the LSAC GPA because that's the one that USNWR cares about.
