How late can you drop out without "dropping out"

Post by serein » Sat Aug 16, 2014 3:08 pm

I was accepted at UCLA, which starts this week, but I am still contemplating re-applying this fall. I wouldn't mind attending orientation, and seeing what I felt like, but I don't want to pull out too late such that I would be considered having dropped out. The money isn't a problem, as I have a large scholarship. Does anyone know how late you can drop out without having "dropped out" officially.
Thanks

I "dropped out" before the first hour of orientation this week. Yeah, walked in an hour early and told them I was leaving to move across the country. So to answer your question, I don't know if that officially counts as "dropping out," but I did have to withdraw from my classes in the online system (that I hadn't paid for yet, so it was no big deal).
