Basically my fellow 0Ls and I need to know these things before choosing law school:
1) Only go if you are sure you want to be a lawyer, not as a back-up plan.
2) Getting a biglaw job is tough, and if you are lucky enough to get a biglaw job, it's going to be hard and stressful work.
3) Don't expect to save the world.
If more people realized all this and eliminated their starry-eyed dreams, there wouldn't be as much JDs trying to get out later.

I think we need to question the idea that getting a biglaw job is "lucky." If you want to work corporate stuff in NYC (I'd rather get a broken glass enema, but to each their own) then yeah, you want that biglaw job, but it's not something every 0L needs to aspire to or should view as the ultimate goal.Yea All Right wrote:Basically my fellow 0Ls and I need to know these things before choosing law school:
