Re: Will a 5 month resume gap hurt me much?

Well there's not much you can do about it now, so there is no point in worrying about it. It won't matter for admissions and probably won't matter much at OCI.

(Where is the gap? If you came back in March, to now is only four, and you said you worked for two months after you came back.)

Ah sorry, I was unclear, I wasn't actually working, I was in contact with different people over the course of two months trying to swing an international internship but it didn't work out.

Ah. Yeah, it won't really matter. You should get a job now, though :D

You can have a two-year gap, and it won't make much of a difference - as long as you have a good explanation for it. Every situation is unique. Gaps are only as good or as bad as what the user does with his time, and they are inversely as good or as bad as the hardship reason given.
