How to approach LOCI/Interview Forum

I was recently waitlisted at one of my top two choices. I read the profile of the LS on the rankings page. It indicated send in a LOCI (duh) and try to interview or re-interview. I want to go ahead and email the dean of admissions sooner rather than later and get my LOCI out, but I want to do it the "right" way. Can anyone offer guidance on how to approach this?

Obviously I plan to retake. No need to say to do so. But thanks for that advice in advance.
