I have a question about taking another year off (from education) and reapplying and/or when to just bite the bullet and go to Law School. I realize there are a lot of personal factors involved with making this decision, but I'd like to find out what other people think of my situation, and perhaps it may help others in a similar situation as well.
Basically, I finished my undergrad in 2012 and have applied to start law school both in Fall 2013 (didn't apply to very many schools though) and this year (applied to more schools). I think my LSAC GPA is 3.28 and my highest LSAT is a 169. I wrote an addendum for my GPA but I don't know how effective it was. Also, I think my softs are pretty decent, but then again who doesn't?

Anyways, here are some results:
Fall 2013
Rejected
Stanford
Berkeley
Waitlisted
Penn
Michigan
UCLA
Fall 2014
Rejected
Columbia
Berkeley
Michigan
Waitlisted
U Chicago
Penn
UVA
Duke
Pending
NYU (did Early Decision and got held)
Cornell
UCLA
Basically I've gotten some waitlists but no acceptances from the T14 so far. Aside from these schools, I also have the option of attending a regional school (I'm not sure where the third tier begins, but I think it would be considered a third tier Law school) in the area that I would prefer to live in eventually (though I don't mind living somewhere else for a while). I also have residency so the cost would likely be about half of what it would cost to go somewhere else, maybe less. I'd like to not have to pay full price for law school, but I might get some help so I'm not totally opposed to paying full price for the right school.
Lately I've been working at a Law firm and living with my parents, who seem to be opposed to me taking another year off, so I do have a bit of pressure to go this year. I guess maybe I'm wondering what kind of indication my results are and/or how I should interpret these waitlist decisions, and if perhaps if I am setting my sights to high with some of these applications and if I should go to the regional school instead. Thanks for any advice in advance!
