Chances at a top 50 school
I will graduate with a 3.22 cumulative gpa. I have a 3.0 at St. Petersburg College and transferred to Quinnipiac University where I will finish with a 3.45gpa. My lsat
is a 162.
My softs are
Resident Assistant for a year and a half
Eboard member on QU After Dark
Model United Nation
Model African Union
Pre-Law Society
Internship at the United States Coast Guard Academy
Dean's List the last three semesters of college
Diversity
I am a registered member of my Native American tribe in Virginia.
I come from a military family and lived all around the United States
Questions
Will the admissions council look into the trends of my gpa and notice it was on a serious uprise when i took all of my 300+ level classes?
I goofed off on the easy 100 level classes and all the classes in my major i had a 3.65gpa.
I want to study national security/international law. Do I have a chance at getting into GWU, George Mason, and University of Notre Dame?
If not what schools do I have a chance of getting into?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Just a tip: if I did know you at all IRL (I don't), it'd be easy to recognize/out you; letting you know just in case you want to be anonymous. We really don't need all the information you gave.

Yeah, you can edit that down to your GPA, LSAT, and URM status. We certainly don't need the name of your undergrad or even such specific detail on your activities (these ECs won't matter).Suralin wrote:Just a tip: if I did know you at all IRL (I don't), it'd be easy to recognize/out you; letting you know just in case you want to be anonymous. What would be helpful, though, is a better idea of your LSDAS GPA: http://www.lawschoolpredictor.com/wp-co ... ulator.htm.

You can practically write your own ticket to schools like gw/nd with money by scoring at or above their median LSAT .
Urm under both medians can be a crap shoot. I would apply t-14 and down. Try to get fee waivers. Tell them you are a card carrying na & your numbers.

Ti Malace- thanks a bunch! I was not sure because I am new to this forum. I have been thinking and using the FLEP program to use it to cover the cost for law school..

Sounds like UVA would eat you up with a couple more points on the LSAT. In-state resident + tribe member + your softs? That would be a better option for your goals than ND. I'd retake in October gunning for over 166 and watch UVA shower the $$.

Yeah with mid 160s or higher, maybe so.jbagelboy wrote:Sounds like UVA would eat you up with a couple more points on the LSAT. In-state resident + tribe member + your softs? That would be a better option for your goals than ND. I'd retake in October gunning for over 166 and watch UVA shower the $$.
OP, you need to retake the LSAT either way. Native American URM status won't get you *that* much of a boost

I'm a 3.0/164 and got accepted at two top 50 schools with a half tuition scholly at one, waitlisted at another two. You should be fine.
