I guess it depends on the person.
Some people don't care as much about certain thread topics, so they skip them (e.g., a thread on what type of laptop to bring to law school or a thread on what the legal economy is like in Alabama, etc.). I skip 99.9% of threads here, as does probably everyone else.
I think the concern I've been more understanding of, though, is not making so many
separate threads. I agree with that for a variety of reasons. But, in terms of
topics of discussion, I don't see any problem generally with being able to discuss topics such as the ones I've posted.

Hmmm, what did you mean above? My OP (or others?) suggest a special-snowflake mindset? This part I wasn't clear on.
