Help me pick my Law School
I want to earn a Tax LLM most likely from Georgetown after I earn my JD and then become a practicing Tax Attorney. However, I do not want to be limited (very much) in terms of where I practice in the United States. I would like to stay in the blue areas (linked below) or at least have the flexibility to.

These are going to be my options for my J.D. and I need help choosing where to go to school and the school that will give me the best chance of getting into a top Tax LLM Program AND will not limit me very much geographically.

My advice would be to seriously reconsider your decision to pursue law school. Based on those employment rates and the tuition costs, it's a difficult or impossible decision to justify. Dude, I'm saying it because I care... rethink this.vayze wrote:I want to earn a Tax LLM most likely from Georgetown after I earn my JD and then become a practicing Tax Attorney. If you can retake your LSAT and get into a school with a better employment rate or perform such that you get a significant (read: full ride) at these institutions, then you are in good shape! All is not lost. Good luck.
Also, don't flag WanderingPondering for spam. Seriously. This is top-law-schools.com, what did you expect? If you ask someone's opinion, accept it when it's offered. Sometimes it's not going to be the answer you wanted, and it's your choice to utilize that information or ignore it.

None of these schools are worth 100k + debt.vayze wrote:Flagged for spam.WanderingPondering wrote:Wut.

Those starting salaries are very misleading. The median salaries are really much lower.
I like your map and color code though.
Retake in June.

Re: Help me pick my Law School
Because I am a tax payer, I'm asking you not to go to these schools because my dollars are funding it. I cannot fathom a dumber choice than to pay full price to go to any of these schools. Take 100% - the employment % you listed = the chance you will not have a job to pay off those ASTRONOMICAL debt figures/month.

As a tax attorney with an LLM from from Georgetown, I strongly urge you to retake. LLMs are supposed to help you do your job, not to get one.

don't even consider the B and C because of high cost and low rank. but otherwise I agree with the above

You specifically asked for a school that would not limit you geographically and give you the best chance at getting into a top-tier LLM school (read: NYU or GULC). None of the schools you listed are even close to doing either of those.
Advice: Retake the LSAT or don't go to law school.
