I have run a successful real estate business in Manhattan for the last 9 years, I've been to court, been sued, dealt with a fire, a hurricane, horrible tenants, and worse contractors. I'm 32, have a family, cared for my ailing elderly father (I don't want to feel like I am using my father's memory to get into law school). Will all this count in my favor? Or do they want to hear that you worked for a senator?

Hands on real world work experience is a plus.

But nothing matters more or even comes close to mattering as much as GPA/LSAT.
