The partner has already shown willingness to speak with you, no need to freak out. You don't need to wear business formal attire -- it's not like you're interviewing for a position or anything.

Partners are people too. Almost all the partners I've talked to are cool people. Just ask him whatever questions you have and make a conversation out of it.
