Why so much "ED UVA"? Forum

I've seen people say "ED UVA" seriously and as a joke, but it's popped up so much I'm curious as to why.

So...

This, plus I think applying ED to UVA improves your chances significantly compared to RD, possibly more so than at other schools that offer ED.

Because of the perceived notion that everyone with a 3.3 and 170 can get into UVA by ED.
