Letter of Intent

Post by djwjddl » Fri Jan 04, 2013 1:00 pm

Is there any consensus on here about sending a letter of intent (i.e. telling a specific school you'll attend if admitted/withdraw all other pending apps) before a decision has been rendered about your application? Is it more effective or appropriate to send this kind of letter once you have been waitlisted? What might the disdvantages be of sending it before a decision has been rendered?

That's what the binding early decision process is for. It's not helpful to do after your application has been transmitted.
