Hey everyone,
I'm a rising 3L and have been studying for the MPRE that's coming up on friday. After doing some studying I decided to go ahead and check the documents on my LSAC account to make sure again that everything is lined up.
I noticed on my LSAC Academic Summary Report that there is a slight difference between my GPA's. It lists my College GPA as a 3.55, and my LSAC GPA as a 3.51. However, on my application, I listed my LSAC GPA as a 3.526. I have no idea where this number came from, but I'm nonetheless worried about it and that it could pose some problems. But in short, my GPA on my app. is slightly above the LSAC GPA, but slightly below the College GPA
Since it's saturday, I cannot contact anyone at the school to ask about it, and I'm worrying myself to death.
Granted it's not a big discrepancy, but it's not accurate, which is why it's stressing me out. I don't know if you can make changes to stuff like that this late into your law school career. I am Safely within the current accepted GPA ranges (the 3.51) at my school and I'm not at a tier 1 or anything like that, but I know how touchy some schools can get about this stuff.
For whatever it's worth, I did make a change to my app. during my first year because I did not mention that I had received 3 traffic warning citations (no tickets, just warnings) because my adviser said that it would be best to be safe and go ahead and disclose it, and never noticed the discrepancy with my GPA when reviewing everything.
Anyone who can offer some words of wisdom as to whether this will cause me any problems?

Re: Small GPA discrepancy between Application and LSAC Report
Did the blank on the application say "GPA" or "LSDAS GPA"?
Seems like every one I can remember says GPA and people here advocate it being fair game to list whatever be it major GPA, cumulative GPA, LSDAS, etc. Either way though I doubt it's an issue.

Re: Small GPA discrepancy between Application and LSAC Report
I actually misstated where the discrepancy was, or at least wasn't specific enough.
The discrepancy was on the "resume" that I had submitted as part of my application. (that included work experience, extracurriculars, honors etc.) So it was something that I actually wrote, rather than filling in a blank. I wrote LSDAS GPA, then put the inaccurate number there.
But after doing some reading, there's some debate about whether you should put your LSDAS GPA or your school GPA. So it's not like I was trying to deceive anyone by listing a GPA that was higher than both options I had. It seems like I put a number that was in the middle of the two.
So I would think that putting a GPA that is technically lower than one option I had, I don't see why they would give me a hard time about it. But then again, it is law school so who knows.
Thanks, 2014.
