C&F issue

Post by Jredelman15 » Mon Jul 30, 2012 6:58 pm

I was caught drinking in my dorm and reprimanded by my university my freshman year. I was given community service and had to attend a class. That is the only thing on my record other than parking and traffic tickets. Should I worry?

No. Just don't lie about it if asked a direct question that has to do with this and don't repeat it (i.e. any other alcohol infractions). I don't know that you even need to disclose this--probably depends on the app questions (law school and bar applications).

Just disclose it. One less thing to worry about.

I had three alcohol-related offenses on my C&F application from the end of high school through Sr. year of college, and it wasn't an issue for me. I did take 2 years off b/t college and LS, though.

Thanks I didn't think it would be a big deal just wanted to double check. I guess they chalk that up to being young and stupid.

No, don't worry about it. Just disclose it and apologize.
