Visiting schools during summer?

Post by Schang1 » Tue May 08, 2012 10:39 am

Are there any admissions people working during the summer? I am planning to visit from Asia to my top choice school but wasnt sure if anyone would be there in June.

Schools still deal with wait lists and some schools are still looking at people through June do I'd say yes

Yes. Adcomms work on a calendar year basis even though students enjoy 9-10 month long academic years.

Yes they work all year round. But if you can manage to come after the school year starts, that would be better because you can sit in on classes, meet students etc. I would hate for you to fly from Asia and not be able to get the full experience. I visited one school over the summer. I was able to talk to people in admissions and go on a tour, but in all, I didn't take more than an hour and a half.
