Law School Commitment - Binding?

Post by mrtoren » Fri May 04, 2012 12:42 pm

Several weeks ago, I reserved a seat in the upcoming class at what was then my top law school. I also completed an electronic housing contract. However, another school in the same market has increased their scholarship offer and I'm seriously considering it.

Am I locked in to the first law school? Can I still switch if I would like to?

Yup, you can switch.

You'll probably have to eat the deposit though.

Did you apply ED to the first school? If not, you can switch any time. There are people that switch schools the day before the first class

Thanks! I did not ED and the school waived the seat deposit for me, so it sounds like I'm free to change my mind if I decide to.
