Cooley Employment Question

Post by llachans » Mon Apr 02, 2012 5:48 pm

First off, I'm not trolling. I know about Cooley's reputation and did not (and would not) apply.

However, I've been glancing over Michigan prosecutors (where they went to school and when they graduated). It seems that Cooley law grads are the most often elected.

Does anyone know why this is? I'm aware of Cooley's god-awful employment stats, but am wondering how they seem to still be well-represented in DA offices. Is it self-selected? Did Cooley used to have a good reputation?

Just asking, because it really shocked me that Cooley places ahead of Wayne and Detroit/MSU.

Also, the legal market is much more competitive today than it was even just a few years ago.

Also, before the huge glut of graduates the last decade has produced, a Cooley JD just went farther than it does now.

I did notice that a lot of the placed Cooley grads were from or around the year 2000. It still shocked me at how represented they were though.

Why? Because every person controls what they accomplish in life, regardless of obstacles.
