If i'm not happy with the PS i sent, can I send another one?
Hi,
I was wondering if I can rewrite a PS and send that one to the school? More I read the original PS i sent them, less I am happy about. Or would this be frown upon by the school?

Depends. Are you making updates to your existing PS? If so, send it and tell them that. Are you writing an entirely new one? I've never heard of this before and have no idea how it would be viewed.

You could probably get away with this. Just email the adcomm with the new essay attached and say you made some revisions.

Just email the adcomms and say you submitted an earlier version of your essay, and you need to make some changes. But if it is already under review, I doubt whether it's going to work.

I imagine they would read both versions.

Agreed. It also makes you look flaky. Everyone else sent one, sending two looks like you are indecisive, were unprepared for the first PS, or just can't follow directions. Unless the first one was a stream of consciousness rant, it'll probably be fine.Samara wrote:FTFYPerdevise wrote:I imagine they would get annoyed reading two versions.

There are some schools that specifically ask you to only submit a final version and not drafts of your essays. Make sure you double check the law school's FAQs/past emails to you if you're going to do this.
I'd recommend against it.

Agreeing with the agreement, but for different reasons. I think it shows you didn't put full effort in the first timecinephile wrote:Agreed. It also makes you look flaky. Exactly. Unprepared, disorganized, lacking conviction. Those are never good descriptors for a prospective law student.JamMasterJ wrote:Agreeing with the agreement, but for different reasons.
