I'm an international student planning to go to law school.
But I'm starting to get worried since I'm international I won't be able to find a job after graduation as easily as those with US Citizenship.
If you are an international student, what are your motivations for going to law school?
Also,
If you are US Citizen, what's your motivation to go to law school in this terrible economy?
Referring to many articles on law school graduates, it doesn't seem much optimistic for US Citizens as well.
Please help me get motivated.
Also, why JD and not Ph.D?

Re: Why JD?
If you go to a law school with good placement and you limit debt, law school can still be a good decision. (And that's why getting highest LSAT score possible is so important.)yjun2000 wrote: If you are US Citizen, what's your motivation to go to law school in this terrible economy?

As for PhD vs JD: There are plenty of PhD programs with pretty bad career prospects. Many fields are academia or bust. The upside? Probably no debt from the program. Downside? 5-7 years of time invested.
