Housing during law school
I am an aspiring law school student and have been researching loads of different information on law schools for the past few weeks. I feel like I have found what I really want to do and feel very confident in my ability to do well in law school. I have a simple question that I am unsure the answer of.
How do students pay for apartments or housing during the school year? Is it the pay from their summer jobs at firms? Or from the student loans that they are taking out to pay for law school?
I'm sure there are multiple answers for different schools and areas, so to narrow it down I would pick the University of Chicago (my dream school) as an example. I know a lot of 1L students live in regents park, and I was just wondering how they pay. Any help is much appreciated!

Loans, savings, summer pay if they're lucky enough to get a paying gig (far from guaranteed, especially 1L summer), parents, significant others who work...
You can take out loans for the entire cost of attendance if necessary.

You could also possibly apply as an RA. That's what I intend to do next year.

I'm not sure which level of hell that would be, but I know it's one of them.cinephile wrote:You could also possibly apply as an RA. That's what I intend to do next year.
Ugh, I could barely stand the dorms when I was 18.

Perhaps. Some dorms are better than others, and if I get one of the good ones I couldn't turn down free room and board!rinkrat19 wrote:I'm not sure which level of hell that would be, but I know it's one of them.cinephile wrote:You could also possibly apply as an RA.
