School teams/clubs or outside recreational leagues?
I'd love to play rec hockey in Chicago, but I can't imagine that carrying a hockey gear bag (roughly the size of a small hatchback) on the El or buses would be fun, even if I could justify paying for league fees with student loans.

IMO you should do it unless it takes up an unreasonable amount of time. It gets your mind off of school, and you'll have plenty of free time even if you are an insane gunner.

I played D1 soccer in UG, though, so I it's going to be kind of different if I'm playing LS girls
. Maybe the UG has intramural soccer open to grad students.

where are you going to school in the fall? Just started at Mich this summer and have been able to play pretty competitive soccer. I think people have been playing bball pretty frequently tooVerity wrote:I played D1 soccer in UG, though, so I it's going to be kind of different if I'm playing LS girls. IU-B. I gotta look into the rec program, but I think they would have to have some decent intramural stuff.ziggie wrote:where are you going to school in the fall? I guess this thread is really about how typical team sports are for law students, and if they generally organize these things.

If you are any sort of athlete, no reason exists why you shouldn't dominate absolutely at law school intramurals. Seriously.

That's what I'm saying. I mean, I don't want to jump to conclusions, but I'm not betting on much competition out of LS girls, or even guys for that matter.yinz wrote:If you are any sort of athlete, no reason exists why you shouldn't dominate absolutely at law school intramurals. Seriously.

On a campus as big as IU-B, I'd be willing to bet that if you asked around you could find, even if it wasn't formally organized, a weekly pick-up game or something between fellows who know what they are doing. And if you still want to you could join an organized law students only league and just mess around and socialize with those LS Girls. Or what have you.
