Big Law/Criminal Law - Does it exist?

Post by sparty99 » Mon Mar 21, 2011 10:17 am

I want to make a big law salary. I also find criminal law to be interesting.

Are there "big law" firms that specialize in criminal law? Or does criminal law usually just include Assistant DA positions?

There have been other threads on this. The consensus seems to be that large law firms usually only do white collar defense. Because the stakes are so high, it's unlikely that you will be able to do any work on these types of cases as a new associate

White collar defense, but good luck getting into that department anytime soon.
