If you've read my other posts, you already know I'm a 0L. But I've been frenetically corresponding with alums from my potential schools (I think I've chosen Temple) for advice on where to go, and it's been really helpful.
I think I know what area of the law I want to get into, and I want to talk to attorneys in the firms in the region about the practice and the best way to pursue it. But most of the attorneys in the area who practice this type of law are Villanova grads, for whatever reason, with a smattering of Temple folk. Is it somehow uncouth to email them? I feel like you don't have that instant tribalist connection with them that allows for a lot of networking in the first place. (Explaining choosing Temple over Nova wouldn't be difficult: Much cheaper and inside Philly.)
Thoughts?
