1L winter break Forum

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but it was my best guess....

I am trying to plan a vacation and have been accepted to law school. Winter breaks are usually five weeks long...do people usually intern during these breaks as a 1L??

By interning I do not mean working or pulling shots at Starbucks.

No, people just go home and relax. I did nothing but play video games, apply for jobs and check grades like a madman.

Anyway, no, people don't. They instead apply for summer jobs like mad.

You go home relax, have fun, vacation, etc. No work during that break

When I was in college I asked a teacher for a letter of rec. and he agreed to write it but he told me that I should do what he did after he graduated from college.

Be a bum, sleep on peoples floors, and pull shots of espresso.

I have not researched this. I know that schools on semester have longer breaks than schools on quarters.

My school is on semester, and we got all of 2 weeks and change. We get over 3 weeks next year though.
