What to write about in a LOCI

Post by ddawg819 » Wed Feb 09, 2011 1:42 am

Everything I have read on this forum in regards to LOCIs says that I should write about something new that was not included in my original application. This is precisely where I am getting hung up on my own LOCIs. I have been working at the same job for the past year and I was promoted, but it was before this year's app cycle. Also, I have been out of school for almost 2 years, so there are no additional grades to report. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should write my LOCIs?

Maybe more on why you would be a good fit for the school, and why you are interested in the school. For example, discuss some clinics, programs, journals, or professors that interest you.

You should research the school as much as possible via its website, blogs, articles. Find things about the school that are unique and you like about it. That's what you write about in your LOCI. LOCI is not about new things in you life.
