visiting law schools

Post by HarlandBassett » Sun Jan 16, 2011 5:00 pm

Why do students elect to take courses at other institutions during 3L? Is it to build networks, pay lower tuition, personal circumstances?

Not sure personally, but from what I've heard.. all 3 and more. The experience is another reason (i.e. "culture" or whatever) that a lot of people do it, particularly the non-trads, or so it seems. I don't think I would ever do it outside of maybe if I had a shot at transferring to wherever it was. I think what it boils down to is Student X wants to take a quick, relatively low-risk gamble on something new and to see what it's like & how it might be able to benefit them. Just my $0.02
