Is it worth it?
Hello all,
I've come on this forum a few times when I had a few questions and after a quick search, I had them answered every time. Thank you for that. But I never really had the need to post until recently.
So I just want some honest advice. I am a 25 year old male and I recently sold my website for quite a large fortune. Without going into any details, let's just say it's enough for me to live lavishly for the rest my life without working. But the problem is - the website really wasn't very "noble" and I don't feel like anything in my life has been rewarding at all. That's why I decided to apply to law school this year.
I didn't expect my website would actually sell this soon. I applied to only one school and I just happened to get in rather recently. If you must know, it's in the top three schools and it's in california. You can figure out the rest. Don't get me wrong - I am really happy to get in, but I'm sort of wondering if it will all be worth it? Will there be true satisfaction and reward working as a lawyer? I want some fulfillment - I feel empty. Please, I know this will maybe anger some of you, but I really want some honest advice from people either currently in law school or already working (whether at a firm or for some nonprofit or something). If you are a prelaw student and if you have some honest input, that would also be greatly appreciated.
If you would like, I would prefer to be PMed. Thanks.

That's how OP can make a difference, funding the education of a dozen, debt-stricken TLSers.General Tso wrote:I think you should start a TLS scholarship competition. that way we can go make a difference in the world in your stead.

Re: Is it worth it?
the answer is this: fulfillment and happiness come from within. Would you enjoy being a lawyer? would you like to practice law or do you have a use for a law degree? any job in the world (almost any) can bring you happiness...so i wouldn't go through the pain of law school unless you think it would be worth it personally and professionally...
me? If i had the money, i'd probably constantly be in school, but i like school...and i'd like being a lawyer...
if your so uncertain, maybe take a couple years to figure shit out...bang some models, buy an Audi A8 or something, and live it up for a bit...

Troll or not, if you're not interested in law, law school will not be fulfilling.
