Question from clueless for 3Ls
Now that you're in your final year, when you look back, would you still have gone to law school?

3Ls are too busy out drinking/celebrating their awesome big law jobs or are trapped in their apartment underneath their suffocating law school debt.policestate1234 wrote:No one interested in responding?

Why would you want a clueless 3L to answer your question anyway? One would think anyone who is still clueless after 2 year in the game isn't the person you want to be taking advice from.

LOL you're right. I actually think I might be dyslexic or just stupid. I read that title 5 or 6 times in the last day or two and saw "Question for clueless 3Ls" every time.

Go to law school only if you are certain, and I mean certain, that you would be ok with basically living off 45k a year for a decade or three paying off your law school loans. If you are fine with that, then by all means.
Caveat: you get into YSH or you get a full ride somewhere. In that cases you just have to be ok with with 5-10 years of soul crushing debt.

Re: Question from clueless for 3Ls
Humbled after my RC fail, but I'll take a stab at the question from the perspective of a 2L.
I turned down a lot of schools, a couple in the t25, to go to a t30 with a full ride and stipend. I'm happy I was comfortable enough to make that decision. I'll be coming out of law school with absolutely no debt and no loans. From that perspective, it's probably a no brainer that I'd say I would do it again. Sometimes I think "what if I had gone to xyz prestigious school," but in the end I'm really happy with my decision. I was able to have a lot of flexibility when it comes to what type of work I was looking for, and haven't had any trouble lining up firm jobs for both 1L and 2L summer.
School is a grind, and I kinda hate it from time to time (especially this time of year), but it looks like it'll end up being pretty worthwhile. I'd definitely do it again.
