ED question - waitlist possible?

Post by beautyhide » Thu Nov 11, 2010 5:01 pm

I'm trying to decide if I should apply ED for NYU, and wondering if applying ED is an admit/deny
scenario only or if people still get waitlisted after applying ED.
If it's the former I would seriously think twice, so if you know please share.

From the NYU Law website:
As an Early Decision applicant, you will be informed by the end of December whether your application has been accepted, denied or held for further review. If your application is held, it will be considered again in the Regular Decision cycle
So if you apply ED you will either be: accepted, denied, or moved to the RD pile (where you could ultimately be waitlisted)

If they move you to the RD pile, then you're no longer bound by the ED contract. At least that's how most places work.
